Richard provides a confidential, supportive and caring space for exploring thoughts and feelings, where you can talk without fear of judgement.
He is a Humanistic and Integrative Counsellor having trained with BCPC (Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling) and is also a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). He works to the Codes of Ethics and Practice of these organisations.
Richard has experience in working with a wide range of issues including: addiction, abuse, anger, anxiety, bereavement, depression, OCD, self-esteem and relationship issues.
You may have come to counselling with a particular problem or issue which you wish to resolve. With Richard you can explore your thoughts and feelings to gain a deeper understanding of the problem and its impact on you. Some clients find a short term piece of work, focusing on a specific issue, helpful. Others find longer term work supportive and more allowing of an in-depth exploration.
In the crucible of the counselling relationship many problems can be faced and worked through. Richard endeavours to be friendly and supportive as a counsellor but will be robust in challenging you when appropriate.
If you would like to arrange an initial appointment you can book one through reception or can call Richard direct on 07828 578416.
